Yes, I've been away for quite a while so why not kick off with some real cool technology!
It is true my tech minions, I've been away for quite some time. Parly due to a cracked jaw and partly due to the shock of realizing I was spending way to much time in front of the computer and on my 360 and my waist had gotten a little large. No matter, all is right now, the jaw has healed and I'm svelt again. So let's get back to the goodness that is cool high tech.
I love to try new technology but when I find a company that puts out products I like, I stick with them. One of those companies is Oakley. They have always been on the cutting edge when it comes to eyewear, not only how it protects but how it looks. They are the company professionals of all type go to for eyewear. Now they've branched out into packs, clothes and even watches. Its all good, great even, but even Oakley has out done itself. I give to you the O ROKR.
Now you can enjoy music and wireless connectivity to your phone. The O ROKR is the next generation merge of eyewear and wearable technology device. It lets you stream music and connect to your cellphone via Bluetooth. This isn't the Thump (an mp3 player/sunglass combo, of which I own a pair and you can have it when you pry it from my cold dead hands). Its a Bluetooth enabled piece of eyewear with integrated earphones that lets you stream music (with a Bluetoth adapter on your iPod Nano) and wirelessly talk on your phone. You can control your iPod wirelessly (control buttons are integrated onto the top of the sungalss limbs, like the Thump), so no more digging for your music player. Oh, and need to take a call? No sweat, answer it from the ROKR while your mobile phone sits up to 33 feet away. Cool, huh?
You get up around 5 hours of talk or listening time and more than 100 hours of standby time. So, I get a cool piece of eyewear, headphones for my Nano AND a headset (for both ears) for my Bluetooth enabled phone? This is the "must-have" piece of technology for Christmas.
