Yes it has been a while so why not start things off with a chuckle.

I've really got to do some research on time machines and transporter technology because my schedule of late has been hectic and there's just not enough time in the day. I've also had the chance to see some really cool things while out in my travels and I hope those things make it in here in the near future.

But this was just too good to pass up as my foray back into tech blogging! Here we have the video helmet created by Toshiba.
We all are caught up in the smaller cooler gadget pursuits and Toshiba (who's laptops I'm a big fan of ) unveils this behemoth. I hope it comes with a workout plan because how else are you going to be able to enjoy the picture on this 6.6 lb device tat sits on your melon? Granted when you put it on you're completely immersed and see a full 360-degree view, which could be amazing for gaming but schweet mother of god that's a heck of a Darth Vader helmet on steriods to enjoy playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter! Not to mention we're all techies here and are accustomed to some good natured ribbing but this thing will even have hardcore geeks poking fun at you!

Why not go with something a little sexier like the winner of a 2005 & 2006 Consumer Electronics Show Design Award, the Icuiti DV920?
You can use it with your DVD player, Video iPod, Laptop, PC, A/V cell phone, multi-media player, or game console. When you plug in your Geordi LaForge visor you get high quality digital, flicker free video (920,000 pixel micro-LCD screens) and 3D stereoscopic video in the to give youyour own private virtual movie theatre (the image appears as if projected at a distance of 7 feet). Now this is cutting edge technology and unlike Toshiba's Darth Vader helmet you can buy the DV920 right now. Check it out at www.icuiti.com. Trust me, I am DEFINITELY getting a pair of these.

That's all for now my tech homies. More to follow, Dutch.

P.S. Big shout out to Cory Barlog and his crew over at Sony because God of War 2 went to Alpha today! The sequel to the best game in years is right around the corner (February '07 to be more specific). Congrats guys and I suggest you et over to Cory's developer blog at http://corybarlog.blogspot.com .
